I made a bunch of Halloween cards this year (and probably will every year) because I just love Halloween. This card uses the Booyah stamp set from Lawn Fawn.
I blended Stormy Sky and Salty Ocean inks for the background, then die cut it with the Snowy Backdrop. I placed it over a pale yellow cardstock that I had in my stash, just so it would accent the stars more and not look so much like snow.
I die cut the Hero City die from Spellbinders out of Black Licorice cardstock, trimmed it down, and placed it at the bottom of the card. I placed a little tape on the back of the die cut just to hold all the little window cutouts in place, since I wanted the whole thing to remain black for this card. I was so excited to finally get to use this die because I got it without a specific card in mind, but I really liked it and had wanted to use it for awhile. I then used the largest of the Large and Small Stitched Rectangles to create a frame out of Black Licorice cardstock.
I stamped the characters and their items from the Booyah stamp set with my MISTI and colored them with Zig markers. I die cut them and then attached them with some foam tape. The last thing I did was to add some sparkly star sequins from Pretty Pink Posh to accent the night sky. I love how they add interest and sparkle!
Inside the card I stamped “Ghouls’ Night Out”, also from the Booyah set, and then it was done! Only a few more weeks until Halloween!
