A Mole Lot of Flowers

These cards were kind of a struggle. I started out with a different background and it wasn’t working, so I switched to this oval layout that I saw the Lawn Fawn design team use but I don’t know that the images fit quite right. I probably should have saved some of the images for another card and kept just one focal image in the center.

I also tried a new technique on one of the cards where you cut a slit in the top of the wheelbarrow and slide the insert in, instead of just attaching it behind. As you can see in the pictures, it did not go well. 😄 The paper got a little damaged and I lost the black outline on the top of the wheelbarrow because I didn’t cut it exactly right. Oh well. It was worth a try!

  1. Goodness, this is SO cute! I like the moles better than the capybaras. I guess it’s b/c a lot of people I send cards to are older (like in their 70s and 80s) and I live in the NE of the US, but many of them would not get the puns to do with capybaras using “Cappy” as “happy.” The puns would be wasted.

    Your card is delightful!

    1. I like the moles better too! I honestly had never even heard of a capybara before so I don’t own any of those stamps because they didn’t mean anything to me either lol!
