BBQ Friends

This BBQ Friends stamp set was a free gift with purchase from Lawn Fawn. I really hope they eventually release the matching dies for it. There’s kind of a backlog of free stamp sets that still haven’t had dies released yet and I’m not a big fan of fussy cutting around those little arms and legs. 😄 I know a lot of people use a Scan n Cut machine to avoid using dies altogether but my experience with those machines has always been frustrating, and they don’t provide that really nice, clean edge that you get with dies. So fingers crossed that these dies will eventually be released!

Materials used:

  • Large Stitched Rectangles
  • Cloudy Stencil
  • Distress oxide inks: Tumbled Glass
  • Grassy Hillside Borders
  • Spiffy Speckles petite paper pack
  • Oliver’s Stitched ABC’s
  • Shimmer cardstock Gemstone
  • Thank You Tags (for the “so much” sentiment)
  • Let’s BBQ
  • BBQ Friends
  • Birthday Mice (for the speech bubble)

  1. I love this! Always here for a punny sentiment! I agree with you about the dies. The free set that just came out with the release of this week (Apr 23, ’26) has no dies. I liked the offers of the past where with $xx amt of purchase, customers got the dies only but after $xx+ amt of purchases you also received the matching dies. That was a better system, IMO.

    1. I agree so much! I really wish they would go back to that system. I wouldn’t even mind too much if they would just release the matching dies at some later point but now even that has kind of stopped. It makes the free stamps a lot less exciting for sure.
