This year I got really into mail art, which is decorating the outside of envelopes when sending cards. I wanted to do it for lots more cards I sent but basically only had time for a few. This was also my first time using colored pencils, which I’ve wanted to try for a long time. I like how it turned out!
After addressing the envelope I coated the whole thing with distress glaze. I’m hoping it’s enough to protect it from the elements and preserve the design. I’ll make another post if I hear back from any recipients about the state of the envelope when it arrived.
