More Robot Fun

This card is very similar to the other robot card I made recently. Originally I was going to use a background stencil with some silver stencil paste… but after FIVE, yes, FIVE attempts, the stencil just would not cooperate. The stencil paste kept bleeding through and ruining the card base. The stencil also had a few delicate sections that were tricky to work with. The cardstock also kept getting ripped in a few spots and what I think was happening was that the stencil paste was beginning to dry, and then when I pulled off the stencil, those areas pulled off the cardstock too. Needless to say I was not a happy crafter. I’m going to give the stencil one more try by using some Pixie Spray with it (and I guess by going really quickly before the paste dries) and we’ll see how that goes. It might be awhile before I’m ready to try that stencil again though, ha!

A small tip for adding foam tape to a circle shape: take a long piece of tape and cut into it at many intervals, but don’t cut all the way through. Then you can bend the piece around the circle and fill up the space perfectly, and when you remove the backing, it still all comes off in one piece. Very helpful!
