Santa Card

This is my last Christmas card to share for the year! I made this cute and simple Santa card:

This was my first time using the amazing snow pen to add texture to Santa’s hat, and it got away from me a little bit and caused a mishap on his forehead. I decided to just fix it the best I could with markers, so it doesn’t look perfect, but I knew the person receiving this card would not be super picky about it. 🙂

I can’t wait to use the snow pen again because it adds such cool dimension to the card. It looks and feels really unique!

I used what has become my favorite technique with die cut words, which is to die cut them 3 times and glue them together for depth, heat emboss them with sparkle powder, and then add glossy accents to the top. I love the “jelly” look it gives them.

I also really liked the effect of the Nuvo crystal drops and glitter drops. I don’t use these often on my cards but I think I’m going to start adding more of them. They really do add interest, and I loved adding a drop to the center of each snowflake too. Can you tell I loved how this card came out??

I will almost certainly be making this again for someone one day. I really liked so many things about it!
