Fall Truckin’ Card

This is a nice and simple fall card I made recently. As much as I love Halloween, I also like this period of time when it’s just fall and we can enjoy the warm days before we get into other holidays. That’s what this card makes me think of.

I used the Stitched Clouds Backdrop on some blue paper I had, then layered it with a Grassy Border die cut from Noble Fir cardstock. I cut those together from the largest of the Small Stitched Rectangles to make the background.

The truck is from the Truckin’ Through The Seasons set from Spellbinders. I love that it comes with so many different items to put in the truck, and that you can get lots of different sayings for the license plate. I will definitely be using this set again in many different ways! For the main part of the truck I used Chili Pepper cardstock, with some white cardstock for the tail lights and license plate, Black Licorice cardstock for the tires, and shiny silver paper I already had for the bumper and side mirrors. I cut the pumpkins from Fake Tan cardstock and piled up a couple on the side for some extra decoration (and maybe to also cover up a mistake I made. ☺️)

I placed everything on some plaid Merry and Bright paper from My Favorite Things, and that gave the card the perfect fall look to tie everything together. Inside I stamped “Fall is here!” from the Jump For Joy set, along with some open/hollow stamped leaves, and then it was complete. A perfectly simple fall card!
