Coaster Critters Platform Pop Up

I’m so happy with how these turned out!

I had originally thought I would include another ride in the background of these cards, like the carousels I shared previously that I used for another design. But nothing looked quite right until I added another roller coaster piece in the back, and then I was sure that was the way to go. I really like how it extends the ride and makes it look like an extra big roller coaster, although it did take some extra effort to add that piece.

To make the background roller coaster piece I stamped the main/big roller coaster piece with the right side masked off at just the right point. I colored and die cut it as normal and then used a copic multiliner to fill in the black lines of the track where it was open. Then I used my paper trimmer to cut off the right side of the piece at just the right spot so that there was the same amount of white border on that side as the rest of the image. And finally I used a white pen to cover up any spots that hadn’t been completely masked off. I think the end result is pretty seamless and it looks just like the stamp was made that way!

I made 5 of the same design and they’re so fun to look at with all the bright colors. I hope the recipients like them and display them!
