Get Crackin’ On Christmas: Jan & Feb

Jenn Shurkus does a fun thing where she starts making Christmas cards very early in the year and she calls it Get Crackin’ On Christmas. I think she tries to make one card each month. I haven’t always been able to do that in the past but this year I decided to try a slightly different approach. I’m choosing one holiday card design each month and making 5 of the same card at once. (I send out a LOT of holiday cards!) It’s much faster to make several identical cards at the same time and I think the quality of my cards will be better because I’m trying to narrow down the designs to only include good ones.

Hopefully I’ll be able to keep up with this throughout the year because it’s really nice to already have a stack of Christmas cards completely done, and it’s only going to grow from here.

In January I made these 5 Cozy Cat cards:

I made this design last year and everything is the same except that I changed the words in the speech bubble. Here’s the link to the original post: https://handmadebyrachelle.com/2025/11/14/cozy-cats-cozy-sweater-stencil/

For February I was inspired by “hellojuniper_” on Instagram and I made these 5 Snow Bunnies cards:

The letters are really sparkly and I like the non-traditional colors for a Christmas card.

Materials used:

  • Large Stitched Rectangles
  • Sunflower cardstock
  • Outside In Stitched Rectangle Stackables
  • Distress oxide inks: Twisted Citron, Peacock Feathers
  • White copic paint
  • Hillside stencils
  • Henry’s ABC’s
  • Clear sparkle embossing powder
  • Glossy accents
  • Merry Christmouse
  • Snow Bunnies

  1. OMGosh, these are SO cute and SO pretty! TFS – I can’t contemplate Xmas. I am trying to get through this winter first.
