Simple Stitched Tree Border

It may be an unusual time of year to make a fall themed card but I wanted to use the Simple Stitched Tree Border so I just went for it. I colored the trees with copic markers and liked the way they looked but then I was stuck about what to do with the rest of the card for a long time.

I eventually added this happy jumping dog and gave him a cute little sweater to wear but originally I used a different patterned paper for the sweater and it just didn’t look right:

(The lighting in this picture does show the colors of the trees nicely though!)

After even more time where I felt stuck I decided to add the big leafy tree and the white border and that made the card finally feel like a complete scene. And changing his sweater to a red color tied everything together a little better too. It’s still kind of a simple card but that happy pup makes me smile, and now I can enjoy it for most of the year until fall comes around. 😊
