Magic Color Slider Retirement Card

I’m entering this in the current Lawn Fawnatics challenge. I was inspired by Grace on the Lawn Fawn DT. I changed the colors to suit the school my recipient was retiring from so that it would all be themed purple, but I loved her original design with the rainbow. I think it makes the color reveal so fun and beautiful!

I used my Blue Skies set instead of the new Fly High because I didn’t want to get Stazon ink on such a brand new set, but it actually didn’t even stain my stamp too much at all. I did have some trouble getting the slider to slide back down easily so next time I’ll have to figure out a better way to make the track work.

I used Quinn’s 123s inside to stamp out the number of years my recipient had been at their job, and I loved the look! I’ve had those stamps so long and hadn’t used them but now I definitely will try to incorporate them more.

Materials used:

  • Large Stitched Rectangles
  • Cloud Background Stencils
  • Distress oxide inks for the background: Milled Lavender, Dusty Concord
  • Yeti ink
  • Magic Color Slider
  • Acetate
  • Blue Skies
  • Stazon ink
  • Corner Rainbow Stencils
  • Distress oxide inks for the rainbow: Worn Lipstick, Dried Marigold, Squeezed Lemonade, Twisted Citron, Salvaged Patina
  • Sugarplum cardstock
  • Fancy Wavy Banners
  • Big Scripty Words
  • Sugarplum ink
  • Quinn’s 123s (for the sentiment inside)
