A Relaxing Retirement Card

To make the Tiki Bar on this card, I followed the instructions by Tammy Stark from the Lawn Fawn Design Team. (She comes up with such great ideas!) I adjusted the measurements to end up with a smaller hut so that it would fit on a 5×7 card. I’ll include my changes below. For my hut, I used the roof from the Scalloped Treat Box Spring House Add On and I cut about 1.5 inches off the width. For the bottom section of the hut, I used the inside negative rectangle left over from cutting a Stitched Scalloped Rectangle Frame (the second smallest frame). I trimmed off about 1.5 inches from the width of the rectangle and about 0.5 inches from the height of the rectangle. The side “pole” pieces were about 1.25 inches long (but it would’ve actually been easier if they were a little longer so I had more to work with when attaching them to the roof!) and the strip across the top of the bottom section was about 2.5 inches long.

Although I have many areas that could be improved upon, I still think this card will be a nice gift for an upcoming retirement. 😊
