I saw a beautiful card on the Lawn Fawn blog months ago that I wanted to try to recreate. I didn’t have all of the same stamps and stencils so I made do with what I had.
I have to say, I don’t love the way it turned out. This is what happens when you try to recreate something by the super talented design team! I’m glad I was able to successfully do the selective stamping technique needed to stamp the kangaroo without the baby and the party hat, to get the right before and after effect. And I’m glad I was able to line up both frames fairly closely between scenes so that the magic picture changer effect worked well enough. But I don’t like how the animals ended up looking; I think the bottom of the card is too crowded. And I didn’t have the grassy stencil so the plain green line looks kind of boring. And the sentiment looks too small where it’s placed. And for some reason the color of the “before” grass turned out a lot lighter than the frame sound it. Meh. I’ll just chalk this up to a learning experience.
