I made a little gift box full of gift tags as a Christmas gift this year. I didn’t set out to make a certain amount, I just made the ones I had ideas for or had enough paper for, and it ended up being exactly 40 tags (20 Christmas themed, 12 birthday themed, 4 anytime tags, and 4 tags for baked goods.) I’m also including a few extras in this post that I made and used myself.

These wreath gift tags were inspired by Nichol Spohr. You can see her video here: https://youtu.be/Es_tT8Th0f0?si=BYGs2JYXTlvsoEkZ
I had a super difficult time getting this die to cut all the way through, no matter how many times I tried. I would have made fuller wreaths or more of them but it was too frustrating. Hopefully next time I try to use it it’s better. I do like the way the tags turned out though, except I could have done better getting the bows to curl. Oh well!
Materials used:
- Large Wreath
- Cardstock: Algae, Chili Pepper
- Tiny Tags
- Distress oxide inks: Barn Door

I really like using red distress oxide ink instead of a regular red ink pad because it doesn’t stain the stamp. You still get a great result and your stamps can remain nice and clear when you’re done.

This was a design inspired by Mindy that I liked. You can see her original tags here: https://mindyeggendesign.com/2020/10/05/lawn-fawn-inspiration-week-scalloped-circle-gift-tags/

I made a mistake when making these tags. The candy canes on the top two tags should have been angled in the opposite direction. I just lost track when making them. I also tried several different shades of red and I’m not sure which one I like most. I wanted to add the sprig of holly to them but decided to just leave it as is. I’ll have to add it the next time I make these.
