I decided to cut off the acetate arm on the swish n pop mechanism so that the only thing visible would be the monkey swinging with the vine. Here’s what it looked like before adding the monkey:

Ultimately I should have left the acetate there because without it, the arc of the swing was too acute and the monkey disappeared too much into the leaves. But I am glad he didn’t block the other animals too much. Next time I would leave the acetate and try to position the monkey slightly lower.
I was inspired by Chitra N. for the general layout of this card. You can see her original card here: https://craftingchitra.blogspot.com/2017/09/have-wild-birthday.html?m=1
