I was inspired by @gorenami2018 on Instagram for this card design:


This was my first time ever making a card with a loop slider mechanism. It works so that when you pull the pull tab, something on the card moves in the opposite direction of the pull tab. It’s such a fun upgrade to the pull tab and I like that it gives the card more of an element of surprise!

I made 4 of these cards at once and it helped me practice getting the mechanism right. You can see in the picture above that I cut the slots for the loops twice the first time (the ones I ended up using were the two furthest apart.) It took some trial and error to find the right spacing but it worked out in the end.
