I have to say… I like the look of the end result of these cards for the most part (maybe they’re a little too bare) but I did not enjoy the process of making them. For one thing I get stressed out if my space gets too messy, and having all these tiny pieces with letters on them all over the place was kind of annoying to me. That’s partly my fault because I cut them out in different colors, and I was originally going to make 8 different cards at once so I made a looot of letters haha. That plan very quickly changed to making fewer and fewer cards though because I just wanted to be done with them.
Another thing I found frustrating was assembling the bracelets. The set comes with a solid piece you cut out to attach all the individual bracelet pieces to so that they have a solid base underneath. But you have to line up the first piece extremely, extremely perfectly, because if it’s even slightly off center, as you add more pieces the line of the bracelet will get more and more off center until you’re seeing the base piece show through. For the skinnier bracelet even when I tried so hard to make sure it was perfect, it seemed like the die cut itself made it so that the bracelet would always go off course. There are little scallops on the pieces that need to be lined up, and in doing that the pieces just slowly end up more and more at an angle.
So I’m kind of torn on this set because I do like the cards and I think making one card at a time wouldn’t be so bad, but after this first experience I feel like it would be awhile before I would want to make another card with it.
