This was a design by Kristina Werner that I saw and just had to recreate, even though the holidays were already over. I don’t have many layered stencils but I think the effect is really eye catching and it’s so simple to do.
She used a red glitter paste that I regretfully bought and tried and had no luck with. I didn’t watch her video to see how she applied it but I found it very, very difficult to not have the paste seep under the stencil. So instead I used an old embossing powder that I got when I first started making cards. I first inked the area with dark red ink, let it dry, and then put the stencil back in place and inked it again with embossing ink and then heat embossed it. It worked pretty well.
